An Ankle Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure used to diagnose and treat a range of conditions within the ankle joint. It involves the use of a small camera and specialised instruments inserted through tiny incisions, allowing for precise treatment with reduced tissue disruption compared to traditional open surgery. This significantly helps reduce post operative swelling and promotes a faster recovery. In addition to wearing your boot for the next 3 weeks, we also require you to begin rehabilitation. Rehabilitation will promote a fast recovery, prevent deficits in walking and strength, and decrease stiffness during the early post operative phase. Please see the key exercises we need you to perform below. Refer to the handout for specific repetitions and sets per day.
