A keyhole bunion correction is a modern, minimally invasive way to fix a bunion with much smaller cuts than traditional surgery. Small incisions are made around the big toe and X-ray is used to cut and reposition the bone that’s causing the bunion. The bone is held in its new position with 3 small screws. The big toe is moved back into a straighter position, and the bony bump on the side of the foot is shaved down. Because the surgery is less invasive, it usually means less pain, less swelling, and a quicker recovery.
